You don’t have to be a millionaire to have incredible skin—you just need to know these skin-saving tips!
PAULINA PERRUCI, 23, PHOTOGRAPHER, USA
PAULINA’S STYLE: My style is constantly growing and changing, but it is simply one of a kind- just like my personality.
INSPIRATION: In regards to my day to day outfits, the weather inspires me. (haha!) It can affect my mode as it does to anyone else. But mostly, I’m inspired by music. Just like the weather, it plays a major role in my everyday lifestyle. If It’s raining out, I’ll grab my polka-dot umbrella, my Coach rain boots and listen to some Indie Pop. If It’s a bright sunny day, I’ll be needing my shorts and maybe a bit of EDM to set the mode. Music, like math, is international- everyone uses it! How could you not be inspired by it?
HERO: My mother is my best friend and my all time hero! Celebrities are more inspirational and idles that you can aspire to be, but my mother is the strongest person I know. Growing up, she has always been by my side when my friends were not. She has pushed me and supported me with pursuing my passion as a photographer. She purchased my first Nikon and gave me her old F2 Nikon. Without my mother, I wouldn’t be the person I am today. One thing you can always count on if your family!
HEELS OR FLATS? Both of course, there is always an outfit and/or occasion for either. I’m 5’8” and wishing I was taller, so the higher the heel the more I desire them. Obviously, I have to be able to walk in them and they don’t destroy my poor feet. I must say, that everyone should do what is most comfortable to them. A cute pair of Tory Burch or even Target brand flats can be cuter than some uncomfortable-to-walk-in looking heels. It all depends on the outfit and occasion…
FAVORITE SUMMER TRENDS: I have just returned from spending my summer in Paris and the street style out there is most inspiring. It is nothing like you see in Vogue with all the dark make-up, crazy shaped heels, and to-die-for outfits. Mostly colored pants/shorts mixed with lots of dots and stripes! So this summer, I have been channeling tons of bold and bright colors mixed with a bit of patterns. Simplicities is more and confidence is key!
SUMMER LOVIN: My Summer playlist has a bit of everything from the classics to techno, a bit if rap and mostly indie pop- the Bee Gees, Patsy Cline, Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra, Caribou, The Shins, Miike Snow, Miami Horror, LCD Soundsystem, Gus Gus, Tiesto, Tycho, Frank Ocean, Cut Copy, Nero, Kimbra, The Black Keys, Die Antwoord, Starfucker, Crystal Castles… I can go on forever! A hobby of mine is finding a remix of a specific song, because sometimes I love the remix more than the original. I love spreading the good word about great new music! All summer I have been traveling (LA and San Francisco to London and Paris) and going to as many music festivals as I can. I constantly find myself spending my pay checks on plane tickets and festival passes… Not too shabby if I say so myself. Next stop… Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco!
